I am open to contract engagements — from short advisory engagements and architecture reviews to implementation planning and hands-on engineering. If you need someone who can connect operations, infrastructure, and application code, I would be glad to discuss fit.

Work can be structured as fixed-scope projects, ongoing part-time support, or focused engagements (for example: observability design, storage and platform work, or custom software and automation). I adapt to your existing tools, runbooks, and compliance requirements.

Areas I work in

  • Web design, management & hosting — Modern, performant static sites and small-business web presence; ongoing content and technical management (updates, DNS, TLS, performance); hosting guidance and implementation aligned with your environment — GitHub Pages, VPS, or managed providers. Suited to teams that want a site that remains straightforward to operate and evolve.
  • Networking — Enterprise and campus design and operations; Cisco routing and switching; UniFi / Ubiquiti Wi‑Fi and site design; monitoring and troubleshooting. I have led enterprise migrations from Cisco to UniFi — planning, parallel run, cutover, and handoff so teams land on stable Wi‑Fi and switching with clear documentation.
  • Virtualization & platforms — VMware vSphere environments; Proxmox VE clusters, storage, and automation; integration with backup and monitoring stacks. I have planned and executed an enterprise VMware to Proxmox VE migration end to end — discovery, storage mapping, cutover, and validation.
  • Storage / SAN — Hands-on with Dell EMC VNX5300, Pure Storage, HPE Nimble, QNAP, TrueNAS, and similar platforms across block, appliance, and unified storage; VMware and Proxmox integration, migrations, and capacity planning. Comfortable coordinating with vendors and internal teams on performance and change windows.
  • Development & custom tooling — Application and systems programming in Go, C, and Python; APIs and services built with current web frameworks where requirements go beyond a static site; automation including CI/CD integration, orchestration, and third-party integrations; and custom tooling such as CLIs, internal services, and data processing utilities. Emphasis on production-ready delivery, clear structure, and maintainability over time.
  • Observability & automation — Grafana, metrics and logging pipelines, Kubernetes and Linux platforms; design and implementation of exporters, health checks, and automation integrated with your existing observability stack (see featured projects on the home page).
